Temporary exhibition "Gold in the sand pit"

In 1954, the owner of a gravel pit in Reinheim made a spectacular discovery: the grave of a Celtic woman which contained unique funeral offerings.

Uncovered objects, such as gold and amber jewelry and a bronze jug, are among the most important artifacts of the Celtic period (c. 380 BC). The temporary exhibition "Gold in the Sand pit" attempts to solve this enigma: who was this woman whose final resting place is exceptional?
